What Administrative services do you provide?
We provide as much, or as little as you may need. We can provide a turn-key platform for experienced or new lenders, including front-office client relationship management to full back-office support. Whether you are new, experienced or even manage a current portfolio for yourself or for others, we have tools to professionalize your business, de-risk your activities, improve your deal flow, connect you to industry professionals and reduce your workload.
I have not lent money before, how can you help me?
We have a full turn-key, plug-and-play platform, from automated marketing, to interest collection, to NSF management, to portfolio management and reporting. We can also connect you with Industry experts like Brokerages and a legal support. We have experts on our platform that can mentor you and offer valuable advice. Talk to one of our experts to see if mortgage lending is right for you and if you meet the qualifications. If it is, then your opportunities are a phone call away.
What are your service fees?
Our fees vary depending on the service package you require, however, in most cases the borrower pays for the bulk of the administrative fees. In our experience our services will reduce your costs, improve your efficiencies, and may reduce your exposure to losses. Please contact us for our Fee Schedule.
Why can't I just collect monthly cheques directly from my borrowers?
In Ontario you must be a licensed and regulated mortgage administrator to receive payments from your borrowers. We provide you with PAD service, through our Trust Account for you so your activities are safe, compliant and efficient.
I only plan on investing a relatively small amount on mortgage lending, why would I need an administrator?
A licensed and regulated administrator ensures you are compliant in your activities and can provide you a turn-key solution allowing you to focus on risk and profit and not on the day to day administrative nuisance.
How can you help me increase my business?
Being associates with a licensed administrator improves your market credibility. Also, through our related parties you will have tools and access to thousands of agents to whom you can market, as well as unique tools to help you quickly assess risk and offer commitments, allowing you to focus on lending and leisure.
I am a broker/agent, what can you do for me?
Through our technology we offer under 30 seconds drag-and-drop applications. Your applications may be directed at one of the lenders on our platform, or viewed by many offering you a wide audience. If our lenders do not offer you a commitment, we will email you a free private-lender-friendly pdf application that you can use to approach other lenders. Lastly, we do this at no cost to you, as we do not share in your fees.
I am a lawyer that manages my clients' loans, why would I need an administrator?
Our platform allows you to expand your business and manage a larger number of clients. You will remain the primary contact for your clients and we will not disrupt your relationship. We will handle all the daily and mundane activities, allowing you to leverage your time for more profitable business. We will provide you with regular reporting that you can on-share with your clients.
What happens when my loans mature?
Private lenders usually hold their loans to maturity and often renew them. If you wish to renew your loans, we handle that process for you. if you wish to exit a loan, through our network of lenders and Brokers we can assist you. Loans that have been professionally administered and have full reconciliated records and history are often more liquid than otherwise.
Why should I choose Lend Link over other administrators?
Most licensed administrators administer only their own large loan portfolios. Lend Link is unique in that it offers its services to small lenders, even lenders with only one loan. We are also unique in that we have mastered old school feet-on-the-ground front and back office support and client relationship management and we have married that with state of the art, industry leading technology to help you run your Direct Private Lending business efficiently and cost effectively.
Why Direct Private Lending vs. Investing in a MIC (Mortgage Investment Corporation)?
As a Direct Private Lender you are retaining all of the loan interest and fees for your own account and thereby your returns are significantly higher. Furthermore, unlike your investment in a MIC, you may have additional liquidity as you can sell your investment in part or in whole, whereas you may have to have a 12 month or more commitment to a MIC. Also, as a Private Lender you will have a direct say in the assets you invest in, and you will have a direct registered charge on that asset, improving your security position and liquidity.
What assurances do I have on Returns?
There are no assurances on returns. Like any other investment, Mortgages or Private Loans are risk based assets and as such there is always the possibility of variability of returns or loss. Any mortgage Administrator who tells you otherwise is not only wrong, but they are breaking the law. However, with the proper advice and support, you can mitigate risk.
How Can Lend Link Help Me Manage Risk
Unlike any Administrator we know, we employ a Common Account Manager model whereby you and your borrower share the same account manager. The account manager will maintain regular contact with your borrower and communicate to you their assessment of ongoing developments with your borrower.
